Montez Ford (born May 31, 1990 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American wrestler . He is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw . His greatest achievement to date has been receiving the Raw Tag Team Championship .
Wrestling career
Evolve (2018-2019)
On October 28, 2018, the Street Profits first appeared on Evolve 114 and won the Evolve Tag Team Championship by defeating The Doom Patrol. At Evolve 123, they lost the title to The Unwanted. They last performed for Evolve on March 16, 2019.
World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2012)
In April 2015, Ford signed with WWE and started training as a wrestler at the WWE Performance Center . On September 29, 2015, he made his debut on NXT and took part in a Battle Royal. Crawford suffered an injury in May 2016 after a series of appearances at NXT's live events. After his return in March 2016, he founded the tag team The Street Profits with Angelo Dawkins, but they lost the match.
In the aftermath of NXT on July 12, 2017, the team The Street Profits was presented in weekly vignettes. They returned in the August 9th episode of NXT by defeating The Metro Brothers. Over the next few years they played more and more tag team matches, some of which they were able to win.
The breakthrough at NXT happened on June 1, 2019, when they won the NXT Tag Team Championship . This reign lasted 75 days and then lost the titles to The Undisputed Era on August 15, 2019.
On October 21, both made their debut on the main roster, defeating Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson . Before that, both had appeared in various backstage segments on Raw. This was followed by a long feud against The Viking Raiders Erik & Ivar, which ultimately also involved the Raw Tag Team Championship . Ultimately, they managed to win the title on March 2nd, 2020.
