Monumenta monodica medii aevi

Monumenta monodica medii aevi ( MMMAe ), a musical series of monuments with unanimous chants from the Middle Ages , is a music-historical edition of historical music published by Bärenreiter-Verlag in Kassel u. a. appears. The series of monuments was founded in 1956 by Bruno Stäblein (1895–1978). It is their concern to "make the unanimous, liturgical and profane music of the European Middle Ages accessible in scientific editions of its melodies". Its editors are Andreas Haug, David Hiley, Karlheinz Schlager, and the editor is Martin Dippon. The Institute for Music Research at the University of Würzburg also publishes the series "Monumenta monodica medii aevi. Subsidia" (Kassel 1995ff.).
