MorMor (* 1992 in Toronto as Seth Nyquist ) is a Canadian singer and songwriter .

Life

Seth Nyquist was born in Toronto, Canada, where he grew up with his mother, English professor Mary Nyquist , and sister. Nyquist sang in the school choir and played the trumpet in a band.

After finishing school he began studying sociology at Ryerson University in Toronto. He broke this off after a semester and agreed with his mother to focus on his musical career. He also took piano and singing lessons.

In 2015 his debut EP Live For Nothing was released under the pseudonym MorMor , which he had chosen after his late grandmother. However, this was largely ignored. In 2018 he released the EP Heaven's Only Wishful on his own label Don't Guess . The title track of the EP quickly reached several million views on YouTube and Spotify .
