Moriaki Watanabe
Moriaki Watanabe ( Japanese 渡邊 守 章 , Watanabe Moriaki ; born March 20, 1933 ) is a Japanese specialist in theater and French literature . As such, he translated poetry from symbolism and staged translated plays. In 2006 he received the Mainichi Culture Prize in the Literature and Art category for his translation of Paul Claudel's work Le soulier de satin . Watanabe is also known for his interviews with Michel Foucault .
