Moritzhof

The Moritzhof is under monument protection standing Vierseitenhof in Magdeburg district of New Town . The courtyard is now used as a cultural center.

The former farm, located on Moritzplatz (address Moritzplatz 1), which is today a metropolitan area, was built in 1844 in the classicism style and is one of the few examples of the area's former agricultural use. Here too, the original farm buildings have been preserved. The roof of the house is designed as a gable roof .

The building, which is now owned by the city of Magdeburg, was completely renovated at the beginning of the 21st century and is used as a cultural event center and is run by the ARTist! eV operated. The rear barn and a stable are used for regular film screenings and live events. In the courtyard there is a former telephone booth that has been converted into a public bookcase .
