Mortillery is a Canadian thrash metal band from Edmonton that was formed in 2008.

history

The band was formed in October 2008 by drummer Emily Smits, guitarist Alex Gutierrez and bassist Miranda Gladeau. A short time later, first singer Cara McCutchen, then guitarist James Guiltner joined the cast. However, this was soon replaced by Alex Scott. In May 2010, Drummer Smits was replaced by Kevin Gaudet. After that, the band released their first, self-titled EP.

In February 2011 the band recorded their debut album Murder Death Kill and released it through Horror Pain Gore Death Productions . In March 2012 the band reached a contract with Napalm Records , where the album was released worldwide. In July 2012, the band went back to the studio to record another album. The second album is called Origin Of Extinction and was released in Europe on March 1, 2013.

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is based on that from the 1980s. The music can partly be compared to that of Nuclear Assault .
