Moshe Sasson

Moshe Sasson (* 1924 or 1925 in Damascus ; † September 16, 2006 ) was an Israeli diplomat.

Sasson was born in Damascus as the son of the later diplomat and politician Eliahu Sasson . In 1927 the family emigrated to the British mandate of Palestine . Before the founding of Israel in 1948 he was a member of the Haganah group in Jerusalem . In 1952 he was active in the diplomatic service. During his diplomatic career he was ambassador to Turkey from 1960 to 1966 , ambassador to Italy from 1973 to 1977 and ambassador to Egypt from 1981 to 1988 .

Sasson died in September 2006 at the age of 81.
