The Moss Lake (English for Moossee ) is a lake on Signy Island in the archipelago of the Southern Orkney Islands . It is the southernmost of the three lakes in the Paternoster Valley in the northeast of the island.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1974 after the abundant populations of the deciduous moss species Calliergon sarmentosum and Drepanocladus aduncus .
