Motorsports Hall of Fame of America
The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America is a hall of fame and museum in Novi , Michigan , dedicated to motorsport people.
The Hall of Fame is made up of people who have made outstanding contributions to motorsport as drivers, developers, mechanics, marketers or supporters. Only people who have either withdrawn from active sport for at least three years or have been active in their respective sport at a high level for at least 20 years can be accepted.
A committee made up of people who have already been accepted, historians, journalists and no longer active athletes will decide on the acceptance. Those honored will receive the "Horsepower" award on the Wednesday before the NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway .
