Mouchoir rouge (. French "Red Handkerchief", formerly Coin-du-mouchoir) is in the Bay of Grand Port in the shore area of Mahébourg lying island in the southeast of Mauritius .

The infrastructure of the uninhabited island dates back to the 19th century. Its name probably goes back to a red handkerchief with which a waiting ferry could be summoned to leave the island.
