Mount Archenar is a mountain peak at the northeastern end of the MacAlpine Hills or on the south side of the Law Glacier .

Participants in a campaign carried out from 1961 to 1962 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it after the star Achernar , which had served them as a benchmark for land surveying work.
