Mount Block is an Antarctic nunatak that rises about eight kilometers south of Block Peak in the Grosvenor Mountains .
He was discovered by the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd during the flight to the South Pole on November 29, 1929 as part of his first Antarctic expedition (1928–1930). It is named after Paul Block Jr. (1911–1987), son of Paul Block Sr. (1875–1941), a patron of the expedition.
