Mount Odishaw is a 3965 m high and prominent mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises about 15 km south-southwest of Mount Kaplan in the Hughes Range .
The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd discovered him during a reconnaissance flight on November 18, 1929 as part of his first Antarctic expedition (1928–1930). The geophysicist Albert P. Crary (1911-1987) explored the area from 1957-1958 and named the mountain after Hugh Odishaw (1916-1984), the executive secretary of the US National Committee for the International Geophysical Year 1957-1958 .
