The Mount Pioa or Rainmaker Mountain (dt. Rainmaker Mountain ) is a 523 m high mountain on to American Samoa belonging island of Tutuila .
The mountain is located near the city of Pago Pago and dominates its landscape. He is responsible for the fact that the bay around Pago Pago receives a relatively large amount of rain, as the clouds rain down on him. An annual rainfall of 500 mm is reached on its slopes. It has three peaks and its slopes are covered by tropical rainforest. The mountain has been a National Natural Landmark above the 243-meter height line since 1972 .
