Mousheg Mardirossian
Moushegh Mardirossian (* in Beirut , Lebanon) is the current Archbishop of the Western Prelature of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the USA ( Catholic of Cilicia ).
Sarkis (baptismal name) Mardirossian entered the theological seminary of the Cilician Catholicate in Antelias in 1969 . In 1974 he was ordained a deacon. He worked as the private secretary of the Catholicos Choren I and the Catholicos Karekin II of Cilicia . In 1979 he received his doctorate in Vardapet .
He worked as a pastor in Greece and the USA. On May 3, 1996 he was elected head of the Western Prelature and ordained bishop on June 22, 1997 by Catholicos Aram I in the Cathedral of Antelias. In 2003 he received the rank of archbishop.
