Today there are still few green spaces. history

Antelias is known for the archaeological site Ksar Akil , in which, among other things, the 40,000 year old skeleton of an anatomically modern human was found. In 1895 St. Elie Church was built. In the St. Elie Monastery, a historical treaty (Ammiyat Antelias) between the various religious communities, especially between the Maronites and Druzen, was signed in Lebanon in 1840 in order to form a unity against the oppression of the Ottoman occupation.
