The Mouvement des Jeunes Socialistes ( MJS , German Movement of Young Socialists ) is the largest left youth organization in France and was the youth organization of the French Parti socialiste ( PS , German Socialist Party ) until April 2018 .

The political youth association has been independent since 1993 and is therefore also organizationally independent of the PS. The MJS has a total of 10,000 members between the ages of 15 and 28, making it the largest political youth organization in France, ahead of the youth associations of the conservative Les Républicains and the communist Parti communiste français . The proportion of women within the youth association is 47 percent. The MJS is a member of the Young European Socialists (YES) on a European level and a member of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) on an international level . Roxane Lundy has been the chairman since 2017.

In April 2018, a congress of the MJS decided to break away from the Parti Socialiste; Chairwoman Roxane Lundy announced that she would in future support the Génération.s movement of the former PS presidential candidate, Benoît Hamon . The decision and in particular the further use of the name of the organization is controversial. At the party congress of the Parti Socialiste, which was taking place at the same time, members of the MJS announced that they would remain in the PS and claim the name of the association.
