Moviemiento

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Moviemiento is a traveling short film festival founded in 2003 and based in Berlin .

concept

Moviemiento sees itself as a short film festival without a fixed venue. Instead, cities and rural areas are visited using a predetermined route. During each festival tour, the organizers produce a documentary film that will also be shown in the current program. All demonstrations and activities are generally offered free of charge and take place almost exclusively in the open air. In addition to film screenings, other forms of events such as workshops , competitions and panel discussions have been part of the festival since 2008 . Often, individual festival tours have a specific focus, such as the Moving Baltic Sea environmental protection or Kinomobilny the bilateral exchange between Germany and Poland. In addition to the tours, Moviemiento organizes film screenings in cooperation with other organizations, primarily within Europe.
