The Mowag Gepard is a tank destroyer from the Swiss company Mowag .
History and Development
Initiated by the development project Jagdpanzer-Kanone (also called Kanonenjagdpanzer ) of the German Bundeswehr , three different types of tank destroyers from the manufacturers Henschel, Hanomag and Mowag were completed for a comparison test. The Bundeswehr decided in favor of the Hanomag product.
The Mowag Gepard, which was built in early 1960, has AC protective ventilation and an automatic fire warning and extinguishing system in the engine room.
The only prototype is now in the Swiss Military Museum Full .
