The Mowag Pirat is an armored personnel carrier from the Swiss company Mowag .
History and Development
Different versions of the Mowag Pirate were built between 1960 and 1975, a total of eleven prototypes. Together with the Saurer Tartaruga , the Mowag Pirate was tested by the Swiss Army ; however, they decided to use the American M113 . The Mowag Pirat laid the basis for the later Mowag 3M1 .
One prototype is now in the Swiss Military Museum Full and one in the Thun Tank Museum .
