Muammer Bilge

Muammer Bilge (* 1949 in Erzurum ) is a Turkish author of Turkish migrant literature in Germany. He is a member of the Association of German Writers .

Bilge came to Germany as a worker in 1972. He lives in Hamburg , where he works in a car factory and was elected to the works council.

In 1982 Bilge began writing short stories . In 1985 he was honored in the literature competition "Turks in Germany" organized by the Gelsenkirchen Workers' Welfare Association. This was followed by publications in various German and Turkish magazines and independent book publications. In addition to the German-language publications Der Ausländer im Graben (1986) and the book of short stories The Son Remains in Germany (1989), books by Bilge have also appeared in Turkey, for example the volume Yaşamın Dalgalarında Kağıttan Kayıklar .

Tayfun Demir's "Bibliography with Explanations" on Turkish literature in German (1995) emphasizes the importance of Muammer Bilge's contribution to Turkish migrant literature of the 1980s.
