Mudd (unit)

The Mudd ( Arabic مدّ) was an Arabic measure of measure for grain . The canonical mudd of the early days of Islam corresponded to 1/4 Sāʿ . According to Abū Hanīfa , it contained 2 Baghdad Ratl , which makes 812.5 grams of wheat. Based on 77 kg per 100 liters, the canonical Mudd comes to 1.05 liters.

In Morocco 1 Mudd = 15 Ratl = 14 pounds (Viennese) = around 7840 grams ( Viennese pounds 560 grams)
