Muffel is an animated rabbit that was created by the German media company Jamba! was created to market one of its ringtones . With the anti-Schnuffel song, the rabbit was specifically conceived as an alternative to its predecessor, Schnuffel . Instead of childlike characteristics, the draftsmen created with Muffel a gray rabbit with extra long ears and skinny arms and legs. The single Muffel Song launched for the figure is musically identical to the Schnuffel Song .
Muffel also appeared in the Schnuffel and Schnuffelienchen radio plays.
