Snuffles (in English Room: Snuggle Bunny , the Netherlands : Snuffie Bunny , in French : Lapin Câlin , in Brazil : schnuffel Coelhinho ) is an animated cartoon - Hase .
Figure and achievements
The rabbit was designed at the end of 2007 by the German media company freenet digital GmbH (formerly Jamba ) to market one of its ring tones . The figure is an anthropomorphic , young rabbit, adapted to the child pattern , with large eyes and long floppy ears. The music comes from Markus Kretschmer and Tamara Lücke. Sebastian Nussbaum and Andreas Wendorf wrote the lyrics of the "Kuschel-Song" . According to Nussbaum, Schnuffel was created after the success of Crazy Frog with a view to the target group women from their mid-twenties with a penchant for things like Diddl figures. The product polarized strongly. While some thought that Schnuffel was extremely cute, it annoyed the others considerably.
After being released as a ringtone , downloadable video, and logo, the character topped the download charts for several weeks. The single then produced on the basis of the ringtone Kuschel Song rose in February 2008 to place one of the German single charts one. The song is now available in more than 25 countries and 15 languages. In Germany, the project was awarded a platinum record for more than 300,000 copies sold and was the best-selling single in German in 2008. The merchandising also included printing the figure on mugs, posters, T-shirts and bed linen.
In addition to the success of the single, freenet digitally created not only Schnuffel, the cuddly bunny, but also a complete world of bunnies: The Knuddeltal (Snuggle Valley). The female counterpart was Schnuffelienchen , which in 2010 also had a small chart success with the cover version of Ella Endlich's single " Kiss me, hold me, love me " and also always plays a leading role in Schnuffel's radio plays.
Freenet digital GmbH has been publishing new Schnuffel apps on a regular basis since 2010.
