The Rhodes Maritsa Airport is a former airport on the Greek island of Rhodes . Due to the fact that it had reached its capacity limit, it was replaced by the location and runway length of Rhodes- Diagoras Airport , which is only a few kilometers north.

There were hundreds of charter flights on the former airport, especially in summer.

Todays use

As the old runways still exist, the airport is now used as a military airfield as well as for car and motorcycle races. Every now and then there is also an air show with model flight demonstrations, because an aviation club is based there, which still partially uses the airport.
