The State Skiathos "Alexandros Papadiamantis" ( Greek Κρατικός Αερολιμένας Σκιάθου "Αλέξανδρος Παπαδιαμάντης" Kratikos Aerolimenas Skiathou Alexandros Papadiamandis ; IATA code : JSI , ICAO code : LGSK ) is located on the island of Skiathos in Greece . The airport is named after the writer Alexandros Papadiamantis . The airport is known for its striking location. Fraport has been the airport operator since 2014 .

Furnishing

Both ends of the runway are bounded by water and there are land areas on both sides of the runway. The apron and a terminal are adjacent on the western side. Despite the restriction by the water, the airport has a 1628 meter long runway. Airplanes up to the size of a Boeing 757-200 can land on this . Instrument approach procedures are available, but the field does not have an ILS .
