The Sitia Airport (English Sitia Public Airport ; Greek Δημοτικός Αερολιμένας Σητείας ) is the national commercial airport in the town of Sitia on the Greek island of Crete . Since 2004 it was supposed to be expanded into an international airport. From May 2018 to September 2018 Condor flew from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich to Sitia.

Remodeling

In 2003 the airport was completely rebuilt and received a new, more powerful terminal with an area of ​​1000 square meters. In addition, the runway was completely rebuilt, it now has a safety zone of 75 meters. In addition, three taxiways and two aircraft parking spaces were created.
