Mukadder Seyhan Yücel
Mukadder Seyhan Yücel (born September 9, 1971 in Schweinfurt ) is a Turkish Germanist at the Trakya University in Edirne . Since 1994 she has been responsible for the German training of Turkish teacher training students and is involved in German-Turkish youth exchanges and German-Turkish dialogue. In addition, she was a member of the university's Senate from 2015 to April 2018.
Live and act
Born in Germany as the daughter of the Turkish working class Seyhan family, she remained closely connected to Germany and the German language even after her family returned to Turkey.
After moving to Turkey, Mukadder Seyhan studied at the University of Istanbul and obtained a master's degree in German . With her dissertation on the development of German teacher training in Turkey, she was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD from Istanbul University.
In 1994 Mukadder Seyhan Yücel began her lectureship in German teacher training at Trakya University and became an assistant in 2001 and an associate in 2014. Professor appointed. Mukadder Yücel has been a full professor at Trakya University since May 8, 2019. She is involved in bachelor, master and doctoral training and also has various functions at the university for the German-Turkish student, apprentice and pupil exchange. Numerous German-Turkish youth encounters by Rotary International and in the town twinning Lörrach- Edirne were also accompanied by language.
With her numerous publications, Mukadder Seyhan Yücel promotes the German-Turkish dialogue over the long term.
She has been married to the Turkish doctor Irfan Yücel since 1994, and they both have a daughter.
