A Murtabak ( Arabic مطبقmutabbaq, means something like "folded") is a dish that is mainly eaten in Saudi Arabia , Yemen , Indonesia , Malaysia , Brunei and Singapore . It is a type of sandwich that can be topped with sheep meat, garlic, egg or onions. Murtabak is also often eaten as a dessert with chocolate and nuts.

Other names

Murtabak is the Malay name. In Indonesia, especially in Jakarta , it is called martabak , in Surabaya terang bulan , which means full moon.
