Muscle & Fitness is an international magazine for weight training , fitness and bodybuilding .
First published for postal distribution in Canada in 1936 under the title Your Physique by Joe Weider , it was renamed Muscle Builder in 1953 and was only given its current name in 1980. For many years it has also been represented with separate editions in numerous countries such as Australia , Germany , France , Great Britain , Italy , the Netherlands and Poland . In terms of content, these largely consist of translations of the articles in the original edition. This is published by American Media , whose managing director has been Arnold Schwarzenegger since 2013 . The competition in Germany includes the Flex for advanced and professional bodybuilders, published in the same company, as well as the Sportrevue .
