The tensor fasciae antebrachii muscle ( Latin for "tensioner of the forearm fascia" or "forearm fascia tensioner") is a skeletal muscle of the upper arm . It is not trained in humans. In carnivores and ungulates, it arises from the lateral epimysium of the latissimus dorsi muscle , and in ungulates also on the posterior edge of the shoulder blade . The muscle attaches to the elbow cusp ( tuber olecrani ) and the forearm fascia (fascia antebrachii).

The tensor fasciae antebrachii muscle causes the elbow joint to stretch and tightens the antebrachial fascia. Except in predators, it also causes the shoulder joint to flex .

The muscle is innervated by the radial nerve.
