The Museo Archeologico di Milano is the second major archaeological museum next to the Castello Sforzesco in Milan (Lombardy, Italy), which is dedicated to antiquity and the early Middle Ages. It's on Corso Magenta 15.

Collections

The museum mainly shows exhibits from the Etruscan, Greek and Roman times on two levels. The focus is on the history of the city of Milan from the 1st to the 4th century. In addition, examples of the Gandhara culture are presented. The complex also includes an undeveloped area with parts of the city wall from the end of the 3rd to 4th century and remains of the early medieval monastery complex Monastero Maggiore. The Church of San Maurizio can be entered both via its own entrance from the street and via the exhibition rooms of the museum.
