Museo Revello de Toro

The Museo Revello de Toro is an art museum in the city of Málaga , in the autonomous region of Andalusia .

The art gallery is located in the historical center of the city and shows the important works of the Andalusian painter Félix Revello de Toro (* 1926). The museum was opened in November 2010 and the artist's 117 works are organized in different rooms according to thematic and technical criteria. Today there are 237 works by Revello in the museum. Another room only contains sketches and drawings by Revello. The museum also has another exhibition hall, where temporary contemporary art and contemporary art by other artists are shown.

Trivia

The museum building is the former home of Pedro de Mena y Medrano , who worked as a sculptor in the Spanish city of Málaga from 1658 until his death in 1688. A bust of Pedro de Mena is in the entrance area to the Museo Revello de Toro.
