The Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá , MAMBO for short , (German: Museum for Modern Art Bogotá ) was founded in 1953 by the art critic Marta Traba and redesigned by her again in 1957. The seat of the museum changed several times. It is currently located at Calle 24 Nº 6 - 00. Since 1985 the house has an area of ​​5,000 square meters , which is spread over four floors. It was headed from 1969 to 2016 by Gloria Zea .

The museum has a large collection of contemporary art, including works by Fernando Botero , Enrique Grau , David Manzur , Ana Mercedes Hoyos , Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar , Edgar Negret , María de la Paz Jaramillo . The museum also offers advanced training and video art events.
