The Museo del Oro Zenú ( Spanish Zenú Gold Museum ) in Cartagena de Indias is an ethnological museum in Colombia . Here are pre-Columbian artifacts, especially the Indian people of Zenú , next to gold coins and modern jewelery on display. The Gold Museum is located in the walled sector of the city's Plaza de Bolívar .

The museum was inaugurated on March 27, 1982 by the Banco de la República and houses a collection of gold and ceramics from the most important pre-Columbian cultures. It contains the most beautiful evidence of the Zenú culture . Through the different rooms, the visitor can explore the manifestations of this indigenous group .

On July 20, 1984 it was rebuilt for the first time and became a regional museum of Zenú culture. It had a collection of almost 700 unique pieces, 538 of which were made by goldsmiths. It was completely renovated in 2006 and shows visitors a total of 902 archaeological objects (747 metal, 105 ceramic , 11 bone, 34 shell and five ceramic fragments).

The Gold Museum means an important creative, didactic and economic effort for the city and the region, the result of which is manifested in numerous cultural initiatives.
