The aim is to preserve the memory of the numerous immigrants of different nationalities who passed through the dormitory and then over the years formed communities that today represent the state of Brazil. The meeting of people of different origins with their different travel circumstances and work opportunities and their contribution to the establishment of São Paulo is shown. The development of historical migration up to today's migratory movements is also taken up.
