The Alexandrowka Museum is located in House No. 2 of the Russian Colony Alexandrowka in Potsdam. The building was opened in 2000 by the Haltern doctor H.-A. Kremer acquired and completely restored over several years according to monument preservation criteria. The client has set himself the goal of bringing the museum's visitors closer to the historical and architectural significance of the Russian village of Alexandrowka in a vivid way. The Alexandrowka is part of the Potsdam World Heritage Site .

The museum building is an architectural and cultural-historical monument from 1826, a documentation center that also regularly serves as a German-Russian meeting place. Six museum rooms are presented in the Biedermeier style . They are equipped with transparent exhibition boards. The permanent exhibition on the topic of the Alexandrowka Colony also includes some exhibits. The exhibition is complemented by films. There is an information terminal in the adjoining building that can be used as a constantly updated database and archive. A museum room is used for regularly changing special exhibitions, and a book accompanying the museum leads through the history of the monarchies of Russia and Prussia around 1826.

The museum also has over 2000 square meters of garden land as part of the reconstructed Lenné grounds. The interested visitor will find over 500 different renatured fruit trees here. The garden is part of the exhibition. A small bistro and a small shop with literature and souvenirs complement the museum visit.

The establishment and operation of the house is administered by the Potsdam Foundation Kremer , which was founded by HA Kremer in 2001 and is based in Haltern am See. The aim of the foundation is to secure the museum as a building and cultural-historical monument in the future.
