The Arlergut Museum is a local history museum in the municipality of Abtenau in the Hallein district of Salzburg (Au 9).

The Arlergut was first mentioned in a document in 1325. The farm was managed until 1980. The museum was founded in 1982. It gives an insight into the meager living conditions on the farm of a Lammertal farmer in pre-industrial times.

The museum includes a typical Tennengau farm with a house, farm building (stable), troad box, root garden and apiary. The entire inventory that was needed for a farm in the area was collected for the museum. Special shows take place in the outbuildings: B. the ornithological collection of the Archbishopric St. Peter in Salzburg and the collection of the equipment of the volunteer fire brigade from the time of its foundation. Another show is dedicated to beekeeping.

The residential building from the mid-19th century consists of masonry river stones on the basement, the first floor is made of wood ( block construction ). A brick cellar room in the Rauchkuchl is used to store food and drinks. The room is heated with a tiled stove. A small opening in the ceiling is used to warm the bedroom, which is located above the room.

The stable building is not structurally connected to the farmhouse, so that at least one of the two buildings is preserved in the event of a fire. Here there is a deep shed for storing the hay supplies and a threshing floor in which farm implements are shown. The beekeeping museum is housed in the troad box ( grain box ), where the grain harvest and sowing for the coming year were stored. In the vicinity of the Dachserbach there is a saw equipped with a Venetian gate and a house mill , both of which are in working order.

During the summer there is a sawing once a week.

Information about the museum can be obtained from the nearby Gasthaus Aumühle .
