The Freihof in Haslach im Kinzigtal was Heinrich Hansjakob's retirement home from 1913 to 1916.

History of the Freihof

Heinrich Hansjakob had the house built in 1913 on the property with a view in Haslach, which he moved into with the housekeeper and sister Philippine after his retirement in the same year. In 1964 the city of Haslach acquired the Freihof. First the Hansjakob archive was established and in 1978 further Hansjakob exhibits were added.

The museum, which was expanded in 1980 to include works by Carl Sandhaas and Otto Laible, was redesigned in 1998 and redesigned in August 2014.
