history
The formerly stately Schüttkasten is first mentioned in a document in 1576. Today it is as it was built in the second half of the 17th century. The bulk box has been used as a museum since 1979.
architecture
The storage building with a rectangular floor plan has horizontal rectangular windows and a saddle roof , a basement and a two-aisled storage level with groin vaulted storage rooms. The upper floor has a wooden beam ceiling on supports.
museum
The museum contains rich archaeological finds from Mannersdorf am Leithagebirge, a remarkable stonemasonry department and a folklore collection. There are spolia from a presumably early Christian church in Au am Leithagebirge .
