Mining in S-charl
S-charl was characterized by mining in the Middle Ages and the early modern period. From 1317 to 1652, silver and lead ore were mined and melted down by hand at Mot Madlain . In the 19th century there was another brief renaissance in mining. Abandoned in the second half of the 19th century, the Schmelzra fell apart.
