The Museum of Ascension ( English Ascension Island Museum ), also known as English Ascension Island Heritage Society Museum , is the home museum of Ascension , an equal part of the British overseas territory of St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha . It is maintained by the Ascension Heritage Society and as part of Fort Hayes on the outskirts of the capital, Georgetown .

After a while, the museum reopened on May 22, 2015.
