museum

The museum cartwright consists of the historic cartwright workshop, the house with Deele and the historic garden, in which there is a historic saw gate and a wood storage shed.

The traditional wheelwright trade is presented in the workshop: A wheelwright (South German: Wagner) made wheels, wagons, plows and other agricultural implements from wood. The old wheelwright shop belonged to the wheelwright Heinz Peters, who until 1970 mainly made wheels for wheelbarrows in his workshop. The historically accurate house illustrates how the family of craftsmen lived together around 1930. The museum cartwright Langenrehm shows how the Peters family managed to build and run a successful family business. A café has been set up for visitors in the Deele.
