Yahoo Music Jukebox |
MusicMatch Jukebox was a media player and audio ripper from the US company MusicMatch for the Windows operating system. The software was created in 1997.
Under Windows, the MusicMatch jukebox was also a basic requirement for synchronizing 1st and 2nd generation iPod devices from the US company Apple . With the release of a Windows version of the iTunes audio software in 2003, Apple ended the cooperation.
The basic version was available as freeware . For a surcharge - for example by means of a "Lifetime Upgrade" - a "Plus" version could be purchased that included extended functionalities, such as support for the mp3PRO format .
The MusicMatch company was taken over by the US company Yahoo in 2004 and was completely converted to the Yahoo Music Jukebox product in September 2007 .
