Musica is an Italian magazine dealing with classical music . It has been published by Zecchini Editore since 1999.

History and profile

The magazine was founded in the spring of 1977 by Umberto Masini and published until 1999. Then Laura Poli took over the management briefly, which was replaced by Stephen Hastings in 2001. Nicola Cattò has been editor-in-chief since 2014.

The magazine reports on current musical life, primarily in Italy, and regularly presents new CDs , DVDs , sheet music and books.

Musica was first a member of the jury of the Cannes Classical Awards, then the successor jury MIDEM Classical Awards and finally, after another name change, the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
