Salvatore Di Pasquale (born November 27, 1931 in Naples , † November 2, 2004 in Florence ) was an Italian civil engineer and technical historian.

Di Pasquale graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Naples in 1955 and taught descriptive geometry from 1961 to 1968 and then bridge building and structural engineering. In 1964 he became a professor in Naples and in 1973 in Florence. From 1983 to 1995 he was head of the Institute for Building Construction and from 1986 to 1992 Dean of the Faculty of Architecture. In 1997 he retired. After his retirement he taught at the University of Catania and in statics in the course for building preservation at the University of Naples and at the R. Lemaire Institute in Leuven. He was also visiting professor in Pescara, Venice, Milan and Ferrara.

He was particularly concerned with the statics of historical buildings and, along with Antonino Giuffrè and Edoardo Benvenuto, was one of the leading Italian scientists and pioneers in this field. Among other things, he published on the dome of Florence by Filippo Brunelleschi .

He was on the editorial board of the magazines Meccanica and Palladio.
