history

The Musikum has its roots in the jazz festival “Jam Session”, which was launched in 1980. This first festival lasted one day and gave hitherto unknown bands the opportunity to play in front of an audience. After a day for rock music was added, it was renamed "Musikum". This name is still used today.

Performances (today) by well-known groups and musicians

The Twang , which has achieved a certain level of awareness, especially in the USA and is also widely recognized in the German press, have already performed more frequently at the Musikum .
