Muscles, gold, bass & beer -

Muscles, Gold, Bass & Beer is the second solo album by rapper Corus 86 . The album was released on October 6, 2006 on the Reckless Records label, newly founded by DJ Reckless .

Corus 86, who originally comes from Braunschweig and now moves around Berlin, describes himself as a chubby and muscleman. The majority of the tracks have battle texts that are in the tradition of the competition concept of hip-hop culture. An imaginary opponent is insulted and "patted", the own crew is lifted up.

illustration

The cover shows Corus 86 in the typical Proll cliché and the album title as an inscription. In the background you can see a loudspeaker whose box is about to break. This is to imply that the music is loud and the bass is very deep.

criticism

Muscles, Gold, Bass & Beer was awarded 3.5 out of a possible 6 “crowns” by the editors of the hip-hop magazine Juice . In summary, the sound carrier is described as an "absolute blast". From the point of view of the editors, the title of the album describes what is thematized on the 16 tracks. From the perspective of the magazine, the choruses of the titles are “charitable and are fun in a wonderfully simple way.” In addition, the party atmosphere conveyed in the songs is supported by contributions from Frauenarzt, Manny Marc, Chuky and Bass Prolet.
