Mustafa Özcan Güneşdoğdu

Mustafa Özcan Güneşdoğdu (* 1970 in Çankırı , Turkey ) is an internationally famous Koran reciter of Turkish origin who lives in Germany .

Among other things, he won the 13th International Quran Recitation Competition in Mecca , Saudi Arabia , in 1991 . In 2003 he released a Koran album with his recitations. He has also emerged as a naschid singer and member of a naschid group.

In 2012, he was one of the 500 most influential Muslims listed by the Prince al-Walid-bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University and the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center of Jordan.

His Quran recitation was recorded on the accompanying CD for the book Approaching the Qur'an by Michael Sells .
