Mustafa Aykaç

Mustafa Aykaç (* 1958 in Karabük ) is a Turkish economist and rector of the Kırklareli Üniversitesi .

Live and act

After attending school in Karabük and high school in Istanbul , he studied economics at the commercial college in Bursa (1976–1980). He then joined the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Bursa (Uludağ Üniversitesi) as a research assistant and received his doctorate in economics in 1987.

In 1987 Aykaç moved to Marmara Üniversitesi , became assistant professor in 1989 and professor in 1993. He became director, dean and vice president of the university. Foreign assignments of one year each took him to Manchester University in England in 1997 and to Vista University in South Africa in 2003 .

He has had numerous publications in national and international newspapers. He was appointed rector of Kirklareli University in 2008.

Mustafa Aykaç is married and has three children.
